We have been sleeping on our King Sultan Hultsvik for 3 months now, and every night is literally the best night’s sleep I’ve ever had. I look forward to going to bed, simply because of the mattress. In fact, I’m lying on it now to write this review, choosing it over the rest of the furniture in the house.

I was very skeptical at the price, as I haven’t had good luck with mattresses less than $1000 in the past. We waffled for a couple of months on it, but couldn’t shake how great it felt in the store paired with an unbelievable price for a King. We decided that we wouldn’t be out all that much if it was junk, so we tried it. I’ll buy another if we end up with 5-7+ years on it.

I prefer a more supportive (some would say firm) while my wife likes it plush. Amazingly, this mattress is both. It feels very stable when you crawl across it, but the memory foam layer gives in just the right places. My wife’s movements, while sometimes detectable are not intrusive at all. Much of that is from the unstability of the frame, and not the mattress. We’re using it with the slats and no box spring, based on the recommendation from the salesperson. I was afraid of support issues, but there have been none without the box spring.

If you try it in the store and like it, just get it to sleep on it sooner than we did. I’ll post again in a couple years with a longevity update.

I just moved from Pensacola to Tampa. I decided to leave my antique childhood furniture plus my full sized antique canopy bed (with tempurpedic mattress) at my parents house and buy all new furnature. I was given for my birthday by my parents $2,000 to buy a whole new bed room set including the mattress. I cringed thinking it couldn’t be done. Well I did it at IKEA! I tried out every mattress in the store the way you are supposed to and decided on the Sultan Hultsvik, because a few happy customers were telling me “try this one”. Sure enough it turned out to be my favorite. When it arrived at my villa it was as plushy and wonderful looking as in the store. It is on a wooden box foundation instead of box springs or slats. I put my traditional mattress pad on it and it was way too firm for me. I kept wondering why the bed was so comfy in the store and when I jumped on it it was just as nice, but when I slept on it with my bedding on it it wasn’t so nice. I looked online for the answer and found it. It was the mattress pad. With the memory foam topper the bed comes with, I needed a memory foam mattress protector and not a thick mattress pad, similar to the pad on my tempurpedic at my parents house. I found one for $34 at Target and sure enough the bed conformed to my body and regained its plushness. Who knew a mattress pad makes so much difference?
The mattress is supportive (which I need), but not too firm which I prefer. It is very close to how my $2,000 tempurpedic bed at my parents’ house feels. You’d never know if I didn’t tell you it was only $800 for a queen sized mattress and wooden foundation. I don’t know about the durability but will get back to you with that after a year. Remember if you are interested in a memory foam mattress or padded spring mattress to go with a cloth mattress protector instead of a traditional mattress pad. These are available at IKEA as well.

The dining sets come complete with a table and chairs. The table can take any design and shape to suit your needs and those of your family. The sets also come in different sizes and therefore you will easily manage to get one that fits into the space you have available and at the same time accommodates the people who will be dining with you every single day. You can have an oak dining set that is as big as you wish for it to be depending on the people capacity.”^
