    Terrible mattress.

Helpful review idiot. If you hate the mattress enough to write a bad review in the first place you should take the time to explain why so others who come to “Ikea Reviews” will know what makes it a bad mattress. This leads me to believe that maybe your assessment of the mattress is as well thought out as your response.

I bought this mattress not only because of the price, but, of course, because it felt so comfortable when I tried it out in the store. When I got it home, though, it slowly started becoming a nightmare. I’m 23 year old male, have spent years in the military, and I have never woken up to back pain before this mattress. I don’t know what it is, but there hasn’t been one morning that I woke up feeling great and refreshed. I do think that if you are able to sleep only on your back, it would be a fine mattress. But, if you sleep on your side like me, God help you…your spine will be begging you to get a new mattress.

Completely agree with the poster Jason above. I am a young man, and most of the time I wake up to discomfort and back pain. I sleep on my back. I think there is not enough support for the back on this mattress. Thought it might get better after a couple of months of adjusting to it but it didn’t.

Like Jason, I am also a 23 year old male who has spent years in the military. I have ruck marched hundreds of miles with a heavy load (not to brag just saying, my back is possibly made of adamantium so if I’m feeling it, it may be an issue) but have never suffered from back problems before in my life. The mattress is comfortable and very impressive at first for the price but after a full night wake up with at least some stiffness in the back and wake up several times a night to adjust myself (my back). I’m looking into some sort of solution that doesn’t involve an oddly shaped pillow-machine-droid that I have to awkwardly explain to the girls I (struggle to) bring home…
