My girlfriend and I have woken up with sore backs since we bought this mattress several days ago. It’s far too soft and you end up sinking while you sleep. We are returning it today.

      hey matthew ,

so what did u end up buying? thinking of getting the hagavik ..is it too soft . did u try the firmer sultan hamnivik

We bought this mattress about a month ago. We loved how soft it was in the store, but we didn’t realize that it was demo’ed on a box spring. We bought the Malm bedframe and had the mattress on slats. We bought the cheapest slats, but we ended up returning them for the more expensive ones. The mattress is better…but not great. We’re thinking of exchanging it for a more expensive softer mattress.

I know why people say “you get what you pay for” and with this mattress it’s true! I must flip this mattress every 4 days otherwise I have to sleep in a huge indentation. I weigh 125 lbs and my boyfriend weighs 185 and neither of us can sleep on this mattress. I don’t understand why someone would make a mattress this poorly or better yet, why Ikea would sell something so bad…I have lost faith in them and will be seriously suspect of anything else they sell.

Very bad mattress. It was good and quite firm when bought it, but became softer and softer every day and during sleep you sink in. We will return it today (after 2 weeks).

We bought this mattress about 10 days back and had to return it due to bad back pain.We would get up in the morning sore and aching–bad bad buy.Exchanging it for a Memory foam ,hope that works.

I woke up today at 4 am with a soaring back pain, my wife who never had a back pain before, told me she was feeling back pain from the first day. Now after only 3 days I am returning it.
I join my voice to the others this mattress is a real bad choice. stay clear.

Dreadful mattress, avoid at all costs. Simply a waste of money. Exactly as everyone else on here has found, hardly any support, huge indentation in middle, constantly having to turn it every couple of days. Wouldn’t wish this on anyone, not if you wish to sleep at night.

I don’t know what everyone is talking about! I love my sultan hagavik mattress!!! It is so comfortable, I have had it for like a year and a half and I have never flipped it. All of my friends say that it is “like a cloud” and my boyfriend loves it too.

suffered through it for ~2 yrs, its like night and day when I sleep on my futon back home, i have way more energy, my back is fine, etc! i am prone to small aches including my back, but this (way way way too) soft bed aggravated them way more, to the point where activities such as cycling often were not possible. it seems durable enough, its about the same as when i bought it, but definitely going to try replacing it with a firm or very firm mattress.

Stay away at all costs. The worst night sleeps I’ve ever had. The store mattress was false advertising. Ikea is stealing money with this mattress. I hope people read this before buying.

Do not buy this mattress. It will lead to sleepless nights, back pain and severe discomfort.
During the day you will not be able to walk or lift things. I repeat DO NOT BUY THIS MATTRESS. You have been warned.
